Double spin on the wheel

2-Session Pottery Wheel Workshop

This two-session beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect way to experience the pottery wheel and learn the full process from start to finish.

Session One (2 hours):The first session begins with a live demonstration covering each stage of the process — from wedging and centering the clay to shaping a first form. Participants then work on the wheel with hands-on guidance and support to create their own pots.

Session Two (2 hours):The second session focuses on trimming and surface decoration. Participants learn how to trim their leather-hard pieces to refine their forms and apply underglaze decoration to personalize their work with color and design.

No experience is needed — just come ready to get your hands messy and have fun.

All pieces will be finished by the instructor, including drying, bisque firing, application of clear glaze, and final glaze firing. Finished pieces are food safe and ready to use.

Work will be ready for pickup in approximately 4–5 weeks.

Adult Class (16+)

Weekly ongoing hands-on class for all levels. age 16+. Choose your project — hand-build or wheel-throw — and bring it to life.

This small, ongoing 2-hour weekly session offers students the creative freedom to work on their own unique projects at their own pace. With personalized guidance , students can choose to master wheel throwing or explore hand-building techniques.

The studio uses stoneware and high-fire techniques, ensuring that all creations are durable. For those choosing to make functional ware, pieces are food-safe and built to last.

What’s Included: The class fee includes instruction, full use of studio equipment and tools, underglazes, glazes, and firings. The studio includes four pottery wheels (available on a first-come, first-served basis), as well as one slab roller and one Griffin Grip.

Material Fee: Students may purchase clay from the studio or pay by weight for finished pieces at a rate of $1 per 100 grams.

Note: Unfinished or unclaimed pieces are kept for 2 months, then recycled or discarded.

Spin on the wheel (12+)

This two hours beginner-friendly workshop is the perfect way to try the pottery wheel.
No experience is needed — just come ready to get your hands messy and have fun.

The session begins with a live demonstration covering each stage of the process — from wedging and centering the clay to shaping a first form. Participants then work on the wheel with hands-on guidance and support to create their own pot.

Optional finishing service: For an additional $25 per person, each participant may select up to three pieces they created during the workshop to be finished by the instructor. This includes trimming,
drying, bisque firing, glazing (white, blue, green, or clear), and final glaze firing.

Finished work will be ready for pickup in approximately 4–5 weeks.

Slab & Vase Workshop

This beginner-friendly handbuilding workshop is a creative introduction to slab construction and surface design.

Each participant will design and build a unique vase using pre-prepared clay slabs. Guidance will be provided throughout the process — from shaping and assembling the form to refining the details.
Vases will then be decorated using engobes (colored slip) and pre-made stencils, allowing for beautiful patterns, textures, and personal expression.

All pieces will be finished by the instructor, including bisque firing, application of clear glaze, and high firing.

Completed work will be ready for pickup in approximately 4–5 weeks.

Youth Class (12-16)

Weekly ongoing hands-on class for all levels. age 12-16. Choose your project — hand-build or wheel-throw — and bring it to life.
